Zebra blinds are a breed that has been around for many years and is now gaining popularity. The appearance resembles the stripes of a zebra. It consists of strips of fabric used alternately with translucent strips.

Zebra blinds are surprisingly easy to work with and allow you to switch from natural daylight to total privacy in no time. You can align the fabric strips together to let more natural light into the room or line the strips for maximum privacy.

If you want great light in the room, raise the blind ultimately to reveal the entire window. With a wide variety of shadow positioning options, it’s easy to filter the desired light into the space with the ease of use of these shadows. They’re ideal for almost any room in your home or cottage.

The zebra blind system usually uses different types of chains. But there’re also a few other wireless options for blinds. The ropeless lifting system is one of them.

How To Install Zebra Blinds Indoors?

To install zebra blinds indoors, you can follow these steps:

  • Hold the zebra blind handrail up and position it to stay centred and straight using a stabilizer. Mark the place with a pencil.
  • Now take the brackets and locate them using the pencil marks you made in the previous step. Place a rack for zebra blinds a few inches from each end of the handrail. For wider blinds that require three or four brackets, you should space them evenly between the two outermost brackets. Mark the screw holes for these brackets with a pencil and recheck the gauges with the gauge.
  • Create pilot screws for the brackets using a power drill. If you don’t have a routine, you can drill pilot holes by driving a nail into the wall with a hammer and removing it. Fix the brackets using the correct screws or plugs.
  • To attach zebra blinds, slide the inside back of the handrail over the metal tabs on the back of each bracket. Push up so that the frames fit into the bar. Pull the plastic tab on the front of each frame toward the front of the blind, using pliers to lock the brackets in place. Carefully check that each shelf fixes correctly.
  • Decide where to place the rope guide and mark the holes with a pencil. Create pilot holes using a pencil, and then attach the cable guide to the window sill or wall using screws. Be sure not to place the focus so low that the string will stretch, as this will disrupt the operation of the window.
  • Enjoy the new zebra blinds!

How To Install Zebra Blinds with Exterior Mount?

To install zebra blinds with external mounting, follow these steps:

  • Hold the zebra blinds handrail up and position it to stay centred and straight using a stabilizer. Mark the place with a pencil.
  • Now take the extension brackets and locate them using the pencil marks you made in the previous step.
  • Create pilot screws for the brackets again using a power drill. If you don’t have a routine, you can make pilot holes with your own hands by driving a nail into the wall with a hammer and then removing it. Fix the brackets using the correct screws.
  • Attach a mounting bracket to each extension bracket using the nut and bolt you previously mounted on each extension bracket. Loosen the nut and bolt and move the mounting brackets forward or backwards as desired to adjust the extension.
  • To install zebra blinds, slide the inside back of the headrail over the metal tabs on the back of each bracket. Push up so that the frames fit into the rail. Pull the plastic tab on the front of each rack toward the front of the blind to lock the brackets in place. Carefully check that each frame fixes correctly.
  • Decide where to place the rope guide described above and mark the holes with a pencil. Drill pilot holes using a pencil and attach the cable guide to the window sill or wall using screws. Make sure you don’t place the focus low enough to stretch the cable, as this will impair the operation of the glass.
